Day 1 Lima: Today we will take a tour in the historic heart of Lima. Guided tour to the historic heart of Lima, the most important city of the Spanish colony in the Americas. Visit the Main Square, Iglesia de San Francisco and the modern part of Lima.
Day 2 To Cusco: Early in the morning, our private transportation will take us to the Lima Airport for our flight to Cusco, the archeological capital of America. Transfer to our hotel in Cusco for 2 nights. In the afternoon we will visit the nearby ruins around Cusco, including Sacsayhuaman with its remarkable Inka masonry, Qenqo, Pucapucara and Tambomachay. Return to Cusco and visit the Koriqancha and the cathedral, one of America’s most impressive
Day 3 Chinchero, Ollantaytambo & Pisac: A full day tour through the Sacred Valley of the Inkas. Our tour will start by visiting the “Away Yachana Wasi” (learning house in Quechua) and the remaining ruins at Chinchero. We continue by visiting the fortress of Ollantaytambo and Pisac.
Day 4 To Machu Picchu: Our day will start early in the morning to continue our journey by train through the Sacred Valley of the Inkas to Machu Picchu, a must while visiting Cusco. Our knowledgeable private guide will show us the most important spots of the ruins. Afternoon train journey back to Cusco. From the Ollantaytambo train station our private transportation will take us to our hotel.
Day 5 To Arequipa: Early morning flight to Arequipa. Next a morning tour of the city including the Santa Teresa Monastery and the Juanita Mummy Museum.
Day 6 To Colca: The real adventure starts! Continue into the Andes towards the Colca Canyon (approx 5 hrs.). The scenery is breathtaking with snowy volcanic peaks, llamas and the impressive terraces that welcome us at the Colca Canyon. Stay 2 nights in our hotel.
Day 7 Colca: Early morning a tour to the “El Mirador del Condor”. There the magnificent condors may be seen flying over the canyon. On the way back we will visit the towns along the canyon. Spend a relaxing night in the hotel at the canyon.
Day 8 To Arequipa & Lima: Back to Arequipa early in the morning. Spend the afternoon finishing visiting the city. Late flight to Lima and spend the night.
Day 9 Lima: Transfer to the airport to take flight back home. Optional tours in Lima.
